Lower fees, local skills helps students to assist others

Estimated reading time: 1 minute

The State Government’s Lower fees, local skills program has enabled local students to access lower-fee TAFE courses, with many students starting their training this semester.

The course fees have been reduced in priority industry areas to make vocational education and training more affordable.

South Regional TAFE Managing Director Sue Lapham said this would encourage more people to get the training they needed to gain work in high jobs growth areas.

“We are pleased to able to offer Lower fees, local skills qualifications that will enable more people to enrol in courses locally and receive quality training,” Ms Lapham said.

“Contact your local TAFE campus to find out more about the courses on offer or ask about what courses might be suitable for you.

“Our very experienced, knowledgeable lecturers know what employers are looking for and provide students with the support they need to complete their training.”
