WorldSkills Nationals Team WA were presented with their official team jackets at Parliament House on 18 July 2023.

There are 13 SR TAFE Students who will head to Melbourne to compete in the national competition held from 17 to 19 August.

The national competition is hosted every two years and sees hundreds of students, apprentices, and trainees from all over the country who earned selection in the regional competitions come together to put their skills to the test against the other state teams.

The top performers in the national competition may be invited to represent Australia on the international stage.

Our students have been training hard with the support of their lecturers in the lead up to this monumental event.

A/Managing Director Michelle Willsher congratulated the selected students and lecturing staff for the tremendous efforts they’re putting into the WorldSkills competitions.

“WorldSkills provides a unique opportunity to showcase vocational skills at a very high level,” she said.

“We are thrilled and immensely proud of our talented students and staff.

“Being selected for the state team and the strong preparation for the national competition required is a testament to their skills and enthusiasm,” she said.

Congratulations to the WorldSkills Team WA members, and good luck for Nationals!
